Bev receives Civilian Bronze Star Award

Bev Robinson is the founder of Troop Support Program, Inc. Bev works for Dominion Virginia Power in Richmond, VA where she formed a volunteer troop support program with the aid of her many Dominion co-workers, Bob Rosbaugh (co-worker and mentor), and State Chaplain John Weatherly (now retired).

Bev was deeply touched by the events of September 11 and wanted to show our soldiers that people back home care and are thinking about them.

The operation started in Virginia and grew to include Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Massachusetts, West Virginia, Connecticut, Illinois, Wisconsin, Rhode Island, Washington, DC, Texas, Oklahoma, and Maryland.

Bev has received countless certificates of achievement, had many flags flown in her honor, and in 2011 she received the Civilian Bronze Star Award, the highest award a civilian can receive, but her biggest thrill is when she can welcome back a Soldier who stops by her office to say thanks.
